Phd Student in Clinical Physiopathology - Academic Year 2020-2021
Curriculum: Anatomo-Pathological and Oncological
Research project: Development of synergistic and non-persistent noble metal nanoparticles for future cance management
Supervisor: Prof. Fabiola Paiar

Cancer accounts for millions of deaths each year and the number of new diagnoses are constantly rising. Although nanotechnology is still in its early stages, it has the potential of revolutionizing the treatment of cancer. The growing interest in the advance of nanomaterials for neoplasm treatment relies on their appealing features for chemotherapy, as well as for combined and localized co-treatments (e.g. Radiotherapy). The aim of Dr Alessandra Gonnelli’s project is the development of non-persistent noble metal nanoparticles together with their assessment on advanced neoplasm models for the next effective cancer management.
