Augusto Pietro Casani

Augusto Pietro Casani, MD, is a graduate of Pisa University School of Medicine. He completed a residency at Pisa University Hospital in Otolaryngology and head and neck surgery and he trained in Audiology at Florence University Hospital.

From 1991 to now Dr. Casani is joined to the ENT section of Pisa University Hospital and from 2011 he assumed the position of Associate Professor in Otorhinolaryngology. At Pisa University Hospital he is the head of the Otoneurology Unit and he is the Chairman of the Residency Training Program in Otolaryngology, University of Pisa. Dr. Casani is a member of the Faculty of the PhD course in Clinical Pathophysiology.

Dr. Casani has been involved in basic and clinical research about otoneurology leading to numerous papers regarding all the aspects of this topic.  His clinical interest includes also all aspects of head and neck surgery.
