Navy Medical Officer trained as Flight Surgeon at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute of the US Navy in Pensacola (FL) and FAA Private Pilot (PPL). Passionate in Space Medical Research, he is a Ph.D. student in Psycho-Biology and Statistics studies studying human adaptation to extreme environments on the research project A.R.E.S.-Astronauts’ Resilience Enhancement to Stress, approved by ESA to be performed at the Concordia Antarctic Station, aiming to design an AI device able to remotely and non-invasively monitoring astronauts well-being. For the USIT – Italian Navy Office for Space and Technological Innovation, he follows the MINE project, which studies the EEG activity of operators in extreme environments and virtual reality, intending to develop advanced neurofeedback systems for the training and monitoring of operators.
